About

Born in Fredericton, New Brunswick and raised in St. Mary’s First Nation, Chelsie is Wolastoqey and brings a powerful mix of creativity, cultural perspective, and curiosity-driven tourism experience to our team. She has called the North home for over 21 years, previously working in aviation before recently joining us through Tłı̨chǫ Investment Corporation and Tłı̨chǫ Adventures Ltd.

As our Tourism Coordinator, she helps capture and share the stories that make Indigenous tourism come alive—connecting our guests to place through words, reflection, and humour. Chelsie enjoys everything Yellowknife has to offer to her young family. She and her daughters love exploring virtual reality rooms, attending live performances, and fully embracing her love of history and science fiction.

They run retired race dogs that have spent their youth running and winning races, not unlike the Iditarod and the Yukon Quest. The dogs might not have the stamina in their golden years...

Edàıdzęę̀cho Zaà - Big Sunday Month
Dear Guest, January is coming to an end already! The Tłı̨chǫ got'ı̨ı̨̀ call this month Edàıdzęę̀cho Zaà (Big Sunday Month). Historically, "Sunday" ( Edàıdzęę̀ ) was a day of rest, prayer, and gathering. It was seen as a month of "Long Sundays" or one continuous "Big Sunday” because the weeks surrounding the New Year were filled with feasts, tea dances, games, and church services. Traditionally, this was a time when families who had been away on their winter trap lines would...
