About

Born in Fredericton, New Brunswick and raised in St. Mary’s First Nation, Chelsie is Wolastoqey and brings a powerful mix of creativity, cultural perspective, and curiosity-driven tourism experience to our team. She has called the North home for over 21 years, previously working in aviation before recently joining us through Tłı̨chǫ Investment Corporation and Tłı̨chǫ Adventures Ltd.

As our Tourism Coordinator, she helps capture and share the stories that make Indigenous tourism come alive—connecting our guests to place through words, reflection, and humour. Chelsie enjoys everything Yellowknife has to offer to her young family. She and her daughters love exploring virtual reality rooms, attending live performances, and fully embracing her love of history and science fiction.

Dear Guest,
The first thing you will probably notice after breaking through the clouds on your descent into Yellowknife, is the never-ending water. The deepest lake in all of North America. Now, before you step off that plane, there are a couple of things you should keep in mind. Yellowknife is situated in Chief Drygeese Territory, on the...
